No recipe collection is complete without sweet potato casserole. But the debate continues. Is it a side dish? Or is it a dessert? We should make some and see if we can figure this out!

No recipe collection is complete without sweet potato casserole. The debate continues. Is it a side dish? Or is it a dessert?
Ingredients
  • 4 cups sweet potatoes
  • 1½ sticks butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Mix the sweet potatoes, butter sticks, eggs, sugar, and vanilla together in a casserole dish.
  2. Mix the remaining ingredients together in a bowl, and spread over top.
  3. Back at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
