My Mama's Salmon Patties

Simple  but delicious! I have a very funny story about my sweet sister, Lucille and frying salmon patties that I will post later. ~ Mama Peggy

  • 1 large can of pink salmon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup cornmeal
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp. pepper
  • Cooking oil
  1. Remove bones and skin from salmon; crumble fine.
  2. Mix all ingredients, stirring well.
  3. Shape like patties with your hands or drop by tablespoon into hot cooking oil.
  4. Brown on both sides.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
