Peggy’s Flowers

Peggy lived on Marion Street in Kings Mountain, North Carolina through the mid-1970’s to the very early 1980’s with her family. Then she lived with her sister, Loretta, on Crescent HIll Rd from then until the mid-2000s. One common thread at both homes was Peggy’s love of her flowers.

Mama thought that statue of the Virgin Mary was St Francis for the longest time. She was an old Baptist girl. What did she know about the Virgin Mary? But she knew he was the patron saint of animals, and maybe even gardeners.
