Peggy Doodles

A collection of Peggy doodles found in Mama Peggy’s notebooks. She had “an eye” and was invited to take art training when she was a little girl, but her family was so dirt poor they couldn’t afford the lessons. She never stopped doodling, though. We have a handful more we’d like to share, just to show her artistic side.

I was updating Mama’s photo pages and thought of an art-related story. Whenever I would compliment her on her drawing skills she would brush it off. Then one day she wanted to print some cute image she found on the internet, but her printer wasn’t working. So, rather than risk forgetting the image, Mama took out a piece of printer paper and a pen and drew the image. When I saw it, I told her, “You realize most people can’t do that, right?”
